Create a lovely Christmas/holiday swag for your entry door, using local greens from around your yard and wooded areas. The swag will have added decor and a ribbon. If possible, please bring a variety of greens for yourself or for sharing to add to the supplies we will have on hand.

Members will provide materials for community residents to create small arrangements in glass decorative containers with a Valentine feel. We will be assisting the residents in completing one arrangement. You can also join in the fun and make one for yourself! Additional flowers with small buds are always welcome.

Mini Terrarium - A special activity, laying the components of a small terrarium in a glass container. Using a cylindrical, globe, square or rectangular clear glass vase, you will layer your terrarium and then add a few small succulents and other plants. All supplies will be ready for you to complete this tropical project.

View the Wadsworth Atheneum’s display of Fine Art And Flowers. Flower arrangements enhance the museum’s art displays. The competition event pits arrangers against one another, as they interpret art themes through floral arrangements.

Gerry Griswold will speak about bats, with educational information that debunks our false impressions of them. Gerry is the director at the White Memorial Conservation Center in Litchfield and a licensed wildlife rehabilitator.

“Fruitful Delight”
An interesting Spring arrangement, using a cylindrical or square clear glass vase. If you have any of these to share, please save them for us during the year. The arrangement will be fruit-lined around the outer side with lemon, lime or orange slices or a combination of any. It will be up to you to find the perfect citrus fruits to use.
